Saul Griffith’s Energy Literacy Presentation

Saul Griffith Energy Literacy presentation Life Pie

Inventor, engineer and MacArthur Genius Grant-winner Dr. Saul Griffith has been touring the country sharing his personal energy audit. I worked with Saul and mathematician Jim McBride to develop their energy findings into a refined presentation.

  2. Energy Literacy Saul Griffith Driving 2007
  3. Energy Literacy Saul Griffith Stuff Pie 2007
  4. Energy Literacy Saul Griffith Light bulbs
  5. Energy Literacy Saul Griffith Solar Flux
  6. Energy Literacy Saul Griffith Global Pie 2007
  7. Energy Literacy Saul Griffith Photo Voltaic
  8. Energy Literacy Saul Griffith World Power average by country

Role

Collaborated with Saul and lead mathematician Jim McBride to create a visual representation of Saul’s energy consumption story. Developed a visual language and style for the presentation and worked to contain the disparate information graphics into a cohesive look.

Saul’s personal driving expressed as a drive around the US.4. Saul’s 2007 energy useage divided into sub categories.5. If your life is represented in light bulbs, your life is close to 120,100 light bulbs burning continually as a representation of your lifestyle’s energy consumption. This is the cornerstone of WattzOn.6. How much energy can be harnessed from the sun, a look at Solar Flux.7. A look at global energy consumption, broken down into sub categories.8. In order to get the world on track we need to build 1 100 square meter of solar cells every second for the next 25 years.9. Bar graph representing the worlds top energy using countries and how much energy an average citizen uses. North America is the highest.
